Our Mission

The Lakeside Learning Center is open Monday through Friday 8:30am to 2:30pm. 

Adults are transported in comfortable, ADA-accessible safety conscious conversion vans from their homes to the center, and back, with trained drivers and assisting riders.

Adults receive a wholesome breakfast and lunch, prepared on-site cafeteria-style.

We provide individual program plans for each adult to meet their specific needs in the areas of household management, personal development and social development.

The Lakeside Learning Center now has a small workout area on site for adult attendees. 

With adult supervisors present to ensure safety, the gym area is for adult attendants of Lakeside Learning Center to improve and maintain their physical health.

The Lakeside Learning Center owns and operates “Thrifts, Gifts, & More” used clothing, furniture & appliance store on Hwy 65 just south of Clinton. The location has been open since 2012.

Trained staff are on hand to provide individual training and assistance to help adults earn pay while working and assisting customers in the store. The 5,000 square foot facility employs workers from the special school who earn a wage helping to process the many donations that help fund the store’s operation.
